About Me
I have been a wife for 46 years, mother of 3 great children and the best of the rest are my sweet grandchildren. Six grandsons and one grandaughter. They like to spend time at our home. I work for a home health company and I am a RN Case Manager for six clients. I love nursing and find it difficult to quit. Can not imagine not being a nurse as that is my passion and love.
Have been to 6 tea parties and felt like I was doing something to express my feelings. I believe in the Constitution and am amazed that so many politicians do what they want against the will of the people. We need to made a difference and keep fighting for our rights. More good moral Americans need to enter the political arena and make a difference. Since the tea party movement came into effect last January 2009 it is evident that we have made a difference. We have been awaken and know that there is something we can do to make a difference.
Lets demand our representatives, senators and president have morals, ethics and follow the constitution. Put more power into the hands of the people, insist on term limits. The politicians of today make their positions a career. They need to spend more time with their consituiants in their home town and less time in DC. We should be able to talk to them and keep in touch with WE THE PEOPLE!!! Is that too much to ask for us to give them our vote?
I want a safer, less deficit more education country for my grandchildren to live in.

Why is a foreign communist allowed to be a member of this forum and also allowed to post four sales advertisements?
This forum is supposed to be a communications means between Tea Party Americans. Now we see four Chinese Communist Sales ads on the forum. Are we to assume that this forum is a Chinese communist front?
Thanks for your comment. I use to write letters to the editor in roane county and in California. Haven't done that here. Of course I don't get the paper and am involeved in other things. I have been involved in politics off and on for many years. Not over active, but involeved. My interest goes back to when i was 8 years old. that was many years ago. I changed my birthdate on my profile. I don't know why the date was listed as it was. Maybe I had too much of a nip. Not really as i don't inbibe. As see it we have a government that is blotted. This is one of coming battles. The problems are so complex that I would run out of space. Somewhere in the bowels of my papers years ago wrote my thoughts down on the issues. Someday I will have to find it to see how much I am off. Anyway, i will be at the next tea party meeting. I personally believe there should be an annual march on DC like 9-12-09. Great experience! By the way I believe this country will elect the first woman president in 2012.
Mary, you asked 'what about the local government with its huge debt base"...well, having moved to Tennessee in 2007 to build a log home, I can see that local politics are just as outrageous as our national politics. In fact, local politicos are not welcoming and they do not like 'outsiders' who might have something to say about how they do business.
Americans are a lackadasical lot for the most part. They don't vote in large numbers, they don't read, they certainly don't read anything about our founding fathers and our Constitution, and they love those entitlements. An ignorant public voted for President Obama, including more educated folks who just 'wanted a change.' Well, they got change alright. But can our Constitution tolerate it? Congress, Presidents all the way back to Woodrow Wilson (1930's), even the SUPREME COURT are all relentlessly chipping away at the Constitution. A READING LIST FOR FREEDOM-LOVING AMERICANS I have read and found the following books to be essential reading for anyone following the political dilemmas of the day. I don't mean just the party politics that are being so hotly debated in and out of Congress, for these politics pale in significance to the fact that we Americans are woefully ignorant of our history. And so we don't know what is going on in front of our very eyes, in Congress or in the White House. This isn't an Obama-trashing book list. These books point out all that has been done since the 1930's to dismantle and make irrelevant our U.S. Constitution. Read these books carefully, so that you will have facts in hand as the momentum increases from now to the mid-term elections on Nov. 2nd. And then pass them on to your friends and ask them to read them, too. Much is at stake in these mid-term elections, there is no question about that. Will we be up to the task? Will we have the collective resolve to remove incumbents from both parties who have aided and abetted the trashing of the U.S. Constitution and our individual liberties in the process? We can't do anything about those things that happened long ago but we can clean up Congress today and put our country back on the right track. These books are not easy reading but the frightening facts they contain should keep you mesmerized. They did me. I suggest you read them - all of them: (1) LIBERAL FASCISM: the secret history of the American left By Jonah Goldburg (2) 48 Liberal Lies About American History (that you learned in school) by Larry Schweikart (3) A Nation of Sheep by Judge Andrew P. Napolitano (4) Lies the Government Told You: myth, power and deception in American history by Judge Andrew P. Napolitano (5) The Five Thousand Year Leap by W. Cleon Skousen One more thought about local politics, Mary. Thankfully Jerry Cunningham is OUT. Now for the Sheriff. Blount residents should not vote for a single incumbent and look, instead, for local residents whose passion is to preserve our Constitution and reduce government. PS. I am an Independent
Thank you for the welcome, Mary! It IS great to see tea parties getting to know each other and working together. The tea party movement in Tennessee is growing! It's not going to be quick or easy, but I know we can turn America back to the ideals of the Constitution and liberty.
Mary , Thank you for the welcome!
I would love to meet you at the next event but sadly I will be out of town then. Is there a date and time for the next meeting after that? Cheers!
The sign was removed by a lady. However, I don't see any way Zach Wamp didn't know about it. There was one Brandon Dodds sign sitting out front of the convention center. There were literally dozens of Zach Wamp signs around it. Brandon talked about it, because he thought it was funny, because he one sign stood out of the crowd it was surrounded by. When Vince got on stage, I saw the lady run out, before he even mentioned Zach Wamp. That said, he parked his "Back Zach" RV right next to where the signs were. I just don't think he's innocent. I'm almost as aggravated he picked on Brandon. He's a nice guy with little money. I took a little exception to who's sign was removed as much as the removal of the sign itself. Admittedly, it would have been just as wrong to remove Bill Haslam's sign, but it's not like he can't afford a million of them or the lawyers to defend his signs.
We will be out of town the weekend of the convention. I really hate to miss it. Let me know if there is any way I can help out in any way.
Mary,
Thank you very much, I am looking forward to it as well. I may speak on the national economic scene and the God and Country petition if that is okay with you. Please let me know. You have a great evening. Thanks, John
Mary, you inspire us all!! When are you running for office??!!
Thanks so much, Mary, for your positive comments. I really believe the Lord has been good to us in putting us together as part of a team effort to help our community to come together so we and others can show our patriotism and love for our country!
Mary,
Thank you for the welcome letter, I appreciate it. I am looking forward to meeting you on the 11th. Please go to the God and Country website in my introduction. This picture was taken the day we boarded the bus to DC from Knoxville to march in the 912 parade. Felt very proud to be honoring our country that day.
Great job Becky, nice looking Web site. Anxious to share our views of the great affect the Tea Parties have on the welfare of our government.
